Latest Express Entry Draw

On June 8, 2023, the most Latest Express Entry draw 2023 took place, resulting in the issuance of 4,800 Invitations to Apply (ITAs). Benefits of the Canada EE Program

The main advantage of this immigration program is its transparency. Applicants will know the CRS points they must score to be eligible for the Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.
Candidates should know the minimum score they should obtain to qualify for the ITA. If they do not make the mark, they can always try to improve their CRS score or consider other CRS options.
They can look at improving their language test results, gaining additional work experience, or study in Canada, or apply for a provincial nomination program.
Young candidates with a higher level of education, language proficiency in English (IELTS/CELPIP) or French, or both, or those with Canadian experience (employees or students) have the potential to reach a higher CRS score and get selected through the Express Entry system.
Candidates with a provincial nomination will get an additional 600 points. Those with a job offer in Canada or siblings residing there are eligible for additional points.

Canada Express Entry Eligibility

To be eligible for Canada Express Entry, you must obtain a minimum of 67 points out of 100. These points are determined based on various eligibility criteria, which you need to meet in order to apply for a Permanent Residency (PR) visa. Age: You can score the maximum points if you are between 18-35 years. Those above this age will gain lesser points.
Education: To meet the eligibility requirements for Canada Express Entry, it is necessary for your educational qualification to be at least equivalent to a higher secondary education level in Canada. Having a higher level of educational qualification will result in the allocation of more points in the assessment process.
Work experience:
Language ability: In order to be eligible to apply and score the minimum required points, it is mandatory to achieve a minimum of 6 bands in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) equivalent to Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7. Having higher scores in the IELTS will result in the allocation of more points during the assessment process.
Adaptability: Under the adaptability factor, you have the potential to earn ten points if you have family members or close relatives residing in Canada who can provide support when you relocate there. Additionally, you can also obtain points if your spouse or legal partner is willing to migrate with you to Canada.
Arranged employment: A valid job offer from a Canadian employer entitles you to ten points.

Express Entry Profile Creation

Step 1: Complete your ECA

If you have completed your education outside of Canada, it is necessary to obtain an Educational Credentials Assessment (ECA). The purpose of the ECA is to verify that your educational qualifications are equivalent to those recognized within the Canadian educational system.

Step 2: Complete your language ability tests

The subsequent step involves fulfilling the English language proficiency requirements by completing the necessary tests. The minimum required score is 6 bands in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), equivalent to Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7. It is essential for your test score to be valid and obtained within the past two years at the time of application.

Having knowledge of the French language can give you an advantage over other applicants. Proficiency in French can be demonstrated through language tests such as the Test de Evaluation de Français (TEF).

Step 3: Create your Express Entry profile

The initial step is to create an online profile for Express Entry. This profile must contain information regarding your age, work experience, education, language skills, and other relevant details. Based on these details, you will receive a score.

If you meet the eligibility criteria by obtaining the required points, you can proceed to submit your profile, which will be included in the Express Entry pool.

Step 4: Calculate your CRS score

Once your profile is included in the Express Entry pool, it undergoes a ranking process based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. Various criteria, including age, work experience, adaptability, and more, contribute to determining your CRS score. If your profile meets the required CRS score, it remains in the Express Entry pool. To be eligible to apply under the Express Entry program, you must achieve a minimum of 67 points out of 100.

Step 5: Get your Invitation to Apply (ITA)

If your profile gets selected from the Express Entry pool, you will get an ITA from the Canadian government after which you can start the documentation for your PR visa.

IRCC holds Express Entry draws at regular intervals. Every Express Entry draw sets a unique cut-off score. Candidates who possess a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score equal to or higher than the cut-off score will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA). Furthermore, candidates who have maintained a presence in the Express Entry pool for a longer duration will also have the opportunity to receive an ITA.

Upon receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA), you will have a period of 90 days to submit a comprehensive and accurate application. It is crucial to utilize this timeframe effectively to ensure that your application is complete and free of errors. Failure to submit the application within the specified 90-day period will result in the invitation becoming null and void. Therefore, it is essential to make the best use of this time to ensure the submission of an accurate and complete application.
